The BRD House (pronounced “birdhouse”) has teamed with Northmont High School to raise funds for the athletic and music departments. On October 18, before and during the Senior Night football game against Kettering Fairmont, parents, alumni, and supporters are encouraged to test drive Ram trucks. For each test drive taken on that night at the school, $20 will be contributed (up to $5,000) that will be used to purchase new equipment for the weight room and the music department.
The Athletic Director of Northmont High School, Robin Spiller, was eager to collaborate on the project, which will help purchase new equipment for the new school building in progress. Robin says, “Community driven support is exactly what we need. We have more success when we work together.”
Golling’s Arena Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is providing the vehicles for the event and will provide trucks for the Homecoming Parade on Thursday, October 10. Golling’s employees are working the event as volunteers and will not be “selling”, so everyone can feel comfortable helping earn money for the school.

Chrysler chose 50 high schools to participate in the Ram Gridiron Challenge that encourages school supporters to test drive the trucks to earn money for their schools.
Allan Talib, a representative of The BRD House, says, “Music is an essential part of education, and we are participating in this event to make sure our students get this additional equipment so that we can expand their music training. We know we can create interest in music and at the same time, rebuild our economy from the inside out.”
To participate in the event, go to Northmont Middle School on Friday, October 18, anytime between 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Follow the signs to the test drive station.
